Wouldn't be worth buying one - two, yes! Though if you're after coverage, go for dPMR, you'll get about half a mile on DMO, as oppose to several miles with dPMR simplex.

I'd love an MTH800, but I know It would be pretty useless with a) no one to talk to and b) About 1/2 mile range. I bought an IDAS handheld instead...

MotoTRBO would be another good option, just remember they're not compatible with IDAS or Kenwood Digital.
