CB talking on the move...
« on: February 07, 2009, 10:41:18 AM »
Good morning all.

So I am only itching to get one of my cb radios away from all the mothballs and re install it into my car. Not sure about laws here now from the angle of penalty points I mean. Where do CBers stand can they speak while driving? If not how come truckers can.. and as for other users of mobile radio systems taxi drivers etc..

I hate these vague laws and laws that apply to some and not all.....

Arite,
The same legislation covers using a CB Microphone as a cell phone, So best idea is get a handsfree kit, Simple enough just have PTT switch mounted on the steering wheel, Good time to get bak into it as i was on last night and loads of people were on for some unknown reason and i know that waterford is getting busy again for CB.
Maybe someone can quote the legislation?

You'll find a link here for the legislation covering CB use while driving :

Truckers / Taxi drivers are no more exempt from these laws than you or I .
