Anyone else notice the site being slow to load the past few days?

Yes, it crashed several times on me during the night. A General Error came up and waffled on about "too many user connections" at 1.00am!

It looked like some kind of attack to me, like DDoS or something of the sort.

I've been losing my mobile today, have had a busy day and had to meet the paper's morning deadline and was sweating a bit as my connection dropped several times during the day Vodafone Mobile Broadband.

I'm posting about 6 O'Clock and it's been stable for an hour by now. FrequencyDB.Com was down apart from the service loss.

I noticed on my iPhone [on O2] that I had no service indication during the day also.

73 end of traffic, out!

Happened again there after 7pm this evening. Something's suspicious about it.

It's a problem with the host the website has. Normally they are fine but everyone in a while it hiccups. Other than paying quote a bit of money to move to a better quality service there isn't much I can do. The website has been on this host for 2+ years and the hiccups are brief and infrequent so no need to move unless the problems become more frequent.

News from the hosting company "A MySQL DB was overloading the server, we have suspended the account.
Best regards,..."

With your traffic in the last three months, a mobile could handle it. Don't sweat it.

Bring back the disaffected, bandwidth be dammed.

It was not me, but isn't that technically a hacker attack?
