Hi,
I've been hearing a blank carrier on 145.250 for the past couple of years. It seems to be coming from the City centre. Audible a couple of Km outside the City. And ideas what it is?

Allegedly, some stray harmonics from a certain TV distribution company in Limerick....

Hi,
I dont think its the RTE building, they link to RTE ring via Woodcock Hill using a Microwave link.
There's no VHF transmission from there studio in the Corn Market buildings.
It's a pain when the radio keeps stopping scanning for a S9+ blank signal as your driving through town.

Just went for a drive this morn for the fun of it and tuned into the "Blank Carrier" and i found two sources one from a bussiness ! and the other from a shed at the back of a house this signal was 30+ and 9+ with ATT on with no ANT connected to radio .
I may do another drive to the second location Sun or Mon to confirm its a constant carrier.
