Frequencies / Re: NATIONAL FIRE AND AMBULANCE FREQUENCY LIST

For the past 2 days, I've only heard one call go out on the ERCC UHF on 454.5750mhz which used to be constantly active for Kildare, Louth and a few other counties. Anyone still receiving on this frequency or know if anything has changed on frequencies?

Nothing yet.  Same auld corporate talk and how wonderful it's going to be on the ctri.ie site

DFB control went from the Dublin call signs to the national callsigns, back to Dublin call signs and are now back to national call signs.  I reckon the controllers had a pain in their face mouthing off all of them for a multi vehicle call out.

Maybe they use Zello for member to member comms and VHF for comms to Coast Guard/RNLI?

Would anyone know why when hearing to the control on the repeater 454.5750, you don't hear the mobiles on either their county base frequency when near that county's station or talk-through on the UHF?

Used to hear both on the county frequency but they appear to come through on the UHF repeater most of the time now. Has there been a change?

Our country cousins seem to be making progress with equipment installs

Nice find. Info on this thread from snail would indicate that some of those counties are live/partially live as planned. The red handsets pictured look like they could be fireground Ex rated which would be bad news for UHF listeners.

However, if you look at AOR scanners and SDR technology is advancing to the stage of being able to receive unencrypted TMO and DMO and I suspect the Irish won't initially finance for upgrading to TEA encryption. Just a hunch.
