Is CB under threat?
« on: June 22, 2016, 19:04:35 PM »
The following rather disturbing message has been posted by the ECBF (European Citizens Band Federation):

"Last week, a meeting of the European Communications Committee (ECC) was held in Vilnius (Lithuania). The ECC Decision (11) 03 which recommends the free use of CB and the application of the standard EN300433 (AM-FM 4W and 12W pep SSB) has been revised. safe ?
-- please explain how "dx land" is "safe" while referring to "27 555" ?
-- (where there is no allocation for either CB or Amateur service, therefore it would be pirating)

think wer safe cause theres allready talk that the uk is going to fall into line on the mid band (27.555) subject in the future and other non european countries are looking at it too
the only thing that will put end to cb is lack of use as all bands are monitered for usage figures and as bands in the cb, ham or in some comercial bands lie empty of users ofcom will put these to different uses so its up to us to keep up those numbers going and increase them if possable so off with the tv and lets get back into the old two way conversation again
