Well spotted.

I'm guessing this is preparation for Tetra?

Mention of DN 11A1 earlier , the controller mentioned to an SO that No.1 Station was the only station using the new call signs at the moment.

Listening to 84.4375 and they're using the county call sign designation for Donnybrook ambulance

DN11 D1

As noted above, all new signs are on Fire Ireland website. It's a right mess for Control to use the new callsigns for certain stations and not others! None of the lads in the brigade have heard a date for TETRA coming on stream yet, but there was talk a few months ago.

Spot on, that's what TETRA Ireland are saying. But as mentioned, the guy I spoke to wasn't aware of any roll out plans as yet but there has been extensive talk about it and the cost of it from what he's heard.

Edit: I've no doubt that its going to happen, possibly within the time frame. Consider the UK has had this since the early 2000s, we've got more than a decade than we should have!  ;) We'll have to go in peace!
