Can anybody identify:

Just woken up (at 05:55 local) by the roar of a jet aircraft passing my house - never happened before.

Looked out the Velux window and saw the jet passing - so low I could clearly make out the body of the aircraft and the port and starboard navigational lights - and weather is appalling at the moment.

Had a quick look on Casper but nothing low appears to be passing (Tralee by the way). Also checked Shannon Airport website for departures and arrivals but nothing - anybody in the know?

Thanks - Kerryman

Amy idea what type of aircraft it was?
Commercial or Military?

What direction was it heading?
It might have been a shannon bound cargo flight trying to avoid some weather.

If it was that low than Casper might not have picked it up as coverage down there is a bit sketchy.

I'll have a look at Casper myself and let you know if I see anything
