Cb radio in cork.

I just recently got a CB for the car, but I dont know if it works!!
Is there anyone in cork who could have a listen and see if they can hear me?

You may hear a few truckers Channel 19.

I've been to the Curragh and back yesterday, not a single trucker ... tried, 16/6/9/12 Band D/Eam/fm/usb  did get noise and garbled messaged around Fermoy on the way back on 34/D but cold not reel them in .. don't know if they heard me or not.

Try 32 D band AM I'm calling myself Blackbird for this test, Tintop

From 4.30 Thursday 21st May 09 for about half an hour or a little longer I'll give out a few calls.

Unfortanatley I didnt see you message hear until now. If you can could you try again tommorow at the same time? Ill be by the CB for most of this evening, so if you can give me a shout tonight on maybe 19?....

I'm in Mallow now, 19.33 for maybe and hour and I'll give a few shouts on the way back.

Ch 19 Normal mid band? AM/FM

What CB did you get?

I should be on at 11 guys cheers, if I havent heard anything by 12.30 I'll no if I have something wrong.
I bought a cheap as chips cb, always wanted to get into the radio buzz but never bothered, seen this cheap said it'd make a good introduction not needing any licence and that...
Will be listening on 19am at about 11pm tonight

Scoobydoo, was that you tonight too? Really strong and clear signal, as was from Patrick Street the other night too.

What do I turn down to stop blowing you out? Mic gain? RF gain?

no need to turn anything down that rig was sounding fine picked ye up on the scanner.

Delighted with the radio!
Cant believe how well it worked, I tought I'd only get maybe a mile range with but its fantastic.
